Denver County Court

Wellness Program

Individuals who are entering the jail on low-level municipal cases are often booked, seen in court, and released on bond. These individuals often have behavioral health needs that go unaddressed. The Wellness Program provides the opportunity to connect individuals to meaningful resources and services to increase the likelihood of success in the community. Individuals with eligible charges (prosecutor approved) and voluntarily agree to participate are diverted through the Wellness Program and may have an opportunity to have their case(s) positively resolved.

The Wellness Program is voluntary, short-term, harm reduction based, designed to meet individuals where they are in their needs and goals. Wellness Connectors help individuals meet their goals to better individuals’ well-being and decrease contact with the criminal justice system.
