ADA ACCOMMODATIONS

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA)

Denver County Court is committed to ensuring equal and full access to the judicial system. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations when needed. 

COUNTY COURT APPEARANCES AND OBSERVATION

The Court’s ADA Coordinator is responsible for processing reasonable accommodation requests made by County Court visitors and/or persons on probation.

If you have a need for accommodation through the ADA for a matter within Denver County Court, please complete and submit the online ADA Accommodation Request Form at least five (5) business days prior to the date you will be visiting the Court. Walk-in requests will be honored to the extent possible.

JURORS

The Jury Commissioner is responsible for processing reasonable accommodation requests for jurors. Please complete the ADA Accommodation Request Form and email to the Jury Commissioner at denverjury@judicial.state.co.us. For questions regarding jury service, please call (720) 337-0600. 

SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS/CART

If you are in need of a sign language interpreter or open captions via Computer Assisted Real-time Translation (CART), please complete and submit the ADA Accommodation Request Form at least five (5) business days prior to the date you will be visiting the Court. 

HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING

Accessible parking can be found directly across from the main entrance of the City and County Building at 1437 Bannock Street. If you are scheduled to appear in the Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse, accessible parking is available in the parking garage located at 450 W. 14th Avenue. The entrance to the parking garage is on Delaware Street between 13th and 14th Avenue. 

SERVICE ANIMALS

Service animals are welcome in all court facilities. Colorado law, section 24-34-803 C.R.S., provides that a person with a disability has the right to be accompanied by a service animal specially trained for that person as a reasonable accommodation or a trainer of a service animal, or an individual with a disability accompanied by an animal that is being trained to be a service animal, has the right to be accompanied by the service animal in training.
