NOTICE OF IMPORTANT CHANGES TO DENVER COUNTY COURT (‘GOVERNMENT USER’ ACCESS)
Currently, ‘Government User’ access has general searching and viewing capabilities for public case information in our system without a requirement for payment. As the court transitions away from our legacy platforms to a more enhanced platform, the generic ‘government user’ will no longer be hosted on the www.denvercountycourt.org website.
These ‘government user’ features have migrated to the Denver County Court Electronic Filing Platform (DCC eFile) efile.denvercountycourt.org.
WHAT IS CHANGING AND WHY?
The generic ‘Government User’ designation is being decommissioned and replaced with a two tier designation in DCC eFile. Agencies will be identified as either a Criminal Justice Agency or a Government (Fee Exempt) Agency.
The DCC eFile system provides certain rights and access depending on this agency classification. In most cases, rights for a designated Criminal Justice Agency or Government (Fee Exempt) Agency will be enhanced beyond the rights currently available in the legacy platform.
Agencies will be responsible for registering their organization in the DCC eFile system. When registering your agency, you must designate at least one organization administrator, whom will have permissions to create and modify additional users within your organization.
ACTIONS REQUIRED BY YOU AS A CURRENT ‘GOVERNMENT USER’ IN THE LEGACY PLATFORM
As a current ‘government user’, speak with your agency to have them register and designate your organization administrator(s) and create additional users. We highly recommend those actions take place before the effective date listed above.
Please use the following link to register your organization: https://efile.denvercountycourt.org/MyAccount/Register. Denver County Court will review your organization submission, once approved, your administrator will receive an email notice.
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS
Designation of a Criminal Justice Agency is assessed pursuant to definition in 24-72-302(3)C.R.S.
Approval of a Government (Fee Exempt) Agency is determined by the manner in which the organization was created under federal, state or local law(s) and is subject to a review process by Denver County Court Administration.
Only one registration per agency may be approved in DCC eFile, no duplicate agencies.
