Honorable Kerri Lombardi

Judge Lombardi was appointed to the Denver County Court bench by Mayor Michael Hancock and was sworn in on April 30, 2015. Judge Lombardi is a proud native of Colorado and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder; and is a ‘Rebel’ graduate of South High School in Denver.

At the time of her appointment, Judge Lombardi was a Chief Deputy District Attorney in Denver and had served with the Office of the Denver District Attorney for 20 years. During her tenure with them, she held a number of positions including nearly 14-years in the Family Violence Unit. Judge Lombardi served as both a Deputy, and as the Chief of that Unit which specialized in handling felony domestic violence cases and crimes against children.

In that capacity, she was honored with several awards including the 2013 COVA (Colorado Organization of Victim’s Advocates) Criminal Justice Award for work on the Kenia Monge case, and years of service to victims of crime, as well as several Meritorious Service Awards for her work on cases that largely impacted the community.

Judge Lombardi is currently a member of several professional organizations including, the Colorado Women’s Bar Association and the GLBT Bar Association. Before being appointed, Judge Lombardi was a long time Member of the Sexual Assault Interagency Council, the Child Fatality Review Committee and The Denver District Attorney’s Training Committee. She was also on the Board of the Colorado Child Fatality Prevention System, State Review Committee 2009-2013 (Governor appointed member). Judge she is currently a member of the PTA and continues to mentor several young lawyers.
