Judge Bohning was appointed to the bench in 1980, and served as Presiding Judge from 1993 through 1994. Judge Bohning received his undergraduate degree from the Dakota Wesleyan University, and his law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law.
Judge Bohning worked as a Staff Attorney for the South Dakota legislature, Staff Attorney for the Colorado General Assembly, and as Assistant City Attorney for the City and County of Denver prior to his appointment to the bench.
Judge Bohning is involved in several community activities to include Community College of Denver Foundation, the Board of the Rotary Club of Denver, the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association, various committees of the Denver Bar and Colorado Bar Associations, a volunteer judge in moot court competitions, as well as speaking engagements before numerous community groups.
