Honorable Raymond Satter

 

 

 

 

Judge Satter was appointed to the Denver County Court bench in October of 1987, and served as Presiding Judge from January 2001 through December 2004. Judge Satter earned his undergraduate degree in English and History from the University of Denver in 1970, and his law degree in 1973 from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America.

Prior to being appointed to the bench, Judge Satter was an associate municipal judge in Englewood from 1985 to 1986, and was in private practice from 1973 to 1987.

Judge Satter received the Judicial Excellence Award from the Denver Bar Association in 1992 and in 1995. Judge Satter serves, or has served, as a member of the Colorado Supreme Court Committee on Rules of Civil Procedure; chair of the subcommittee on Small Claims Court Rules Revisions; chair of subcommittee on Revision of Rule 107, Contempt; member of Colorado Bar Association; member of Ethics Committee for the Colorado Bar Association; member of the subcommittee on Civil Rules and Discovery Abuses; member of Denver Bar Association; delegate to Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors; Board of Trustees for Denver Bar Association; Secretary of the Denver Law Club; and is a member of the American Judicature Society, the Colorado Municipal Judges Association, the Denver Law Club, and a Life Member of the Colorado Bar Foundation.
