One Time Arraignment Continuance

A one-time continuance may be requested for cases set for arraignment (first time court appearance as it appears on your Traffic ticket), in the Traffic Division.

The following criteria must apply to receive a one-time continuance:

• The case is set for arraignment with no previous continuance;
• The new court date must be requested at least 2 business days in advance of the current arraignment date and time;
• The defendant cannot be in custody or on bond.

You may request a one-time continuance either: in person at the Traffic Division Clerk’s Office, 1437 Bannock Street, Rm 135, by telephone at 720-865-7840, or electronically below. If you are submitting a request electronically you must provide a valid email address. The new court date will not exceed a two week period and can only be granted once.

If you do not receive a response via email from the court after one business day, call 720-865-7840, or plan to attend court at your original court date and time.
