Denver County Court

DUR Navigator Program

Denver County Court’s Driving Under Restraint (DUR) Navigator Program launched on June 3, 2019 and has been wildly successful in assisting clients in obtaining their driver’s license. As of December 2022, the DUR Navigator team have assisted over 1,400 clients in obtaining their valid driver’s license leading to the dismissal of their criminal or traffic case. The DUR Navigator team and client work together to identify what requirements are needed to reinstate their driver’s license. The DUR Navigators help defendants navigate through various obstacles and barriers within the criminal justice system. The goal is to satisfy all requirements to reinstate the defendant’s driver’s license by the reinstatement date(s). The DUR Navigator team can help clients set up payment plans with other Colorado Courts, child support departments, connection to additional resources, and coaching on the DMV written driving test. The Denver City Attorney and Denver District Attorney’s Offices have agreed to dismiss the pending DUR case if the defendant has reinstated their license within the allotted time period and remain compliant with the DUR program.

The Denver County Court DUR Navigator Program is located at the Minoru Yasui Building at 303 W. Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204 – check in on the 8th floor. Office hours are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm; Monday – Friday.
